With so much talk about love, acceptance and being non-judgemental, Christians are easily giving in to the pressure of the world culture at the expense of surrendering the moral standards of God's word. "Just love on people and accept them for who they are" is what I hear much these days. Yes and no is what I say to that.
Yes, to loving people and showing compassion. Especially the poor and hurting around us. Yes to lovingly reaching out to those who believe, think and live differently than the life Christians have chosen to live. Yes to ministering to all types of people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, nationality gay or straight. NO to accepting and embracing people's interpretation to what love is by having to accept people's choices when they blatantly oppose the standards of God's righteousness, thereby demanding I abandon my Christian faith and belief in God's holy word. NEVER!!! I interpret religion according to what God's word says; "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself UNSPOTTED (unblemished (physically or morally, without spot, unspotted) from the world." James 1:27
