Unless we have a personal revelation of who Christ is we cannot fully receive the full benefits of His redemption that He paid for us on the cross. If we see Jesus as only an anointed teacher, a prophetic voice or just a man of God, then we will never be able to receive by faith the fullness of what He can give to us as the Son of God. The people of Nazareth could not and would not believe that Jesus was their Messiah. They knew Him as Mary's son and saw Him grow up in their neighborhood playing in the streets of Nazareth with their own children. Their paradigm of Jesus kept them from believing and receiving greater breakthrough in their city and lives. “Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” Matthew 13:58
